Great Iberostar Playa Mita Features

This resort exceeding our expectations. It offers a really long stretch of private beachfront. The main pool had an awesome view of the surrounding mountains. The pool service was great. Additionally, a great location to gather with family and friends. The poolside staff were amazing and a lot of fun. Another great feature is the golf course next door. You can literally grab a golf cart and head over. The option of having wedding pictures on the golf course is totally available.

Ceremony- Wedding Ceremony Dream

We got married at the oceanfront gazebo. It’s fantastic because there is no set up required. The gazebo front faces the ocean. And has built-in seating for up to 100 guests. Because it is so beautiful, it requires minimal decor. Very nice for couples wanting to not break the bank decor-wise.

Reception of a lifetime

We enjoyed our reception dinner at the steakhouse. It was lovely, however very hot outside. So a quick tip for brides is to consider requesting umbrellas for the sunnier areas. Similarly, there is no air conditioning at this location. So depending on what time of year you marry, consider the outdoor terrace.

The outdoor terrace area is the most popular site for destination weddings. It is a very open space. With guest seating up to 110. Guests will enjoy stunning views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Another area that due to it’s beauty requires little in terms of decor.

Romance

Our room had a pleasant turndown service on the night of the wedding.

Tips

  1. Bring a second dress if you plan on wearing a ballgown
  2. Use the spa service, hair and makeup were perfect!
