5 Reasons to Wed in Costa Rica

There are so many amazing reasons to have your destination wedding in Costa Rica. After traveling to this beautiful country three times now, I feel I have just scratched the surface of all it’s a wonder.  I highly recommend you consider tieing the knot in this truly one of a kind location. Here are my favorite 5 reasons to wed in Costa Rica.

1)Great Selection of Unique Flowers

Nothing says wedding celebration like a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Here in Costa Rica, you are going to find the world’s most beautiful selection of vibrant, colorful and unique flowers imaginable. Choose a bouquet of striking Red Ginger to match your sparkling white wedding dress. Or how about Orange ginger tied in with some white Gerber flowers for a stunning backdrop to your wedding party. Everything from Birds of Paradise to stunningly beautiful orchids is grown wondrously here in these beautiful lands just to make your wedding day all the more spectacular.

2) Exciting Activities

What can you do adventure wise with your wedding group here in Costa Rica? The question should really be what can’t you do while staying here in this beautiful land of paradise. My best tip: You’ll want to have a bit of an idea of what you would most like to see and experience before choosing your wedding resort. Arenal offers a once in a lifetime horseback riding to La Fortuna waterfall. La Fortuna Waterfall Website. Not for the faint of heart-mind, you, however, Ziplining in Monteverde is a must-do for the true adventure seeker. Monteverde Ziplining. If surfing is top on your list then look no further than the sparkling pacific coastline of Manuel Antonio Surfing Website

3) Amazing Scenery

One of the top reasons for visiting Costa Rica is, of course, the magnificent scenery. With bounding hills and lush tropical vegetation, it’s no wonder Costa Rica is becoming so popular for North American Destination weddings. To my delight, I discovered the famed “Blue Jean” frog when I was visiting Manuel Antonio. With a bold hue of dark blue and red lipstick upper body, this frog is a true natural wonder. Enjoy a cup of delicious Costa Rican morning coffee while you enjoy the daily volcano eruptions of the famous Arenal Volcano. It is an active volcano that provides a show of steam and mist for adventurous honeymooners wanting to take it all in.  Costa Rica is truly a memorable wedding vacation place to experience a wide variety of astounding sites and sounds. We can hardly wait to tell you all about it.

4) Culture and its people

What can I say about the people of Costa Rica other than they are the warmest friendliest people ever?! Though very modest means they keep a very high standard in education, appearance, and rich culture. Take a peek inside their colorful quaint homes as you drive through rural towns in your touring vehicles.  Look out for Open front doors in local homes. I’ll never forget asking my driver why they leave the front doors of their homes open in the day. He replied, “it’s to show their neighbors and friends they keep a clean house”. Homes here in Costa Rica are as bright and colorful as the people who inhabit them.

5) Great Location for a Weddingmoon

When it comes to your weddingmoon, you couldn’t pick a better place to enjoy each other than Costa Rica. I hardly know where to start with so many incredible locations to see and experience. Take a tour and stay in Tortuga, Costa Rica’s home of the turtle. Here the howler monkeys replace your in-room alarm clock. You’ll be up early as they send out their daily, unmistakable howler territory chants. The Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort is where tropical, hot springs meet stunning oasis backdrop for rest and relaxation like no other.

Get ready to be wowed at the Four Seasons Costa Rica where cozy cabins exist in jungle paradise, yet take you right next door to their pristine golf course. If you are seeking a luxury adult-only then look no further than Secrets Papagayo where beautiful Costa Rica beachfront meets true Costa Rican hospitality. If you are heading to Manuel Antonio for some sun and surf on your honeymoon, make sure to book a few nights at the undeniably beautiful Zephyr Palace. This outstanding honeymoon resort is located at the top of a mountain no less and boasts one of the most unique honeymoon experiences ever.
