1. Destination Weddings 2020
It’s another busy season of destination wedding bookings for our company. I thought it would be the perfect time to discuss what’s shiny and new about 2020 Mexico Destination Weddings. Everything from wedding costs to locations on how to book. Let’s explore them all for the upcoming destination wedding season.
2. Mexico Top Destination Wedding Locations
What amazes me is all the new all-inclusive five-star resorts opening up all over Mexico’s hottest tourist locations? I was personally blown away with the up and coming Playa and Costa Mujeres area. These two stunning oceanfront landscapes are just a mere thirty minutes drive from the Cancun International Airport. For those of you, Cancun beach lovers, Playa Mujeres is going to offer you the best of Cancun beachfront with the calm waters of the Riviera Maya. Great news as well for those couples looking for a seaweed free zone. You have found it in Playa Mujeres and Costa Mujeres. You’ll swim out into the clearest of blue ocean and then never want to get out! Popular iconic resort chains like Hard Rock, Palladium TRS Coral Costa Mujeres, Riu Palace, The Beloved, Majestic, have sprouted up over to this dream vacation coastline.

I know it can feel overwhelming for couples to try and figure out what area of Mexico to marry. With so many fantastic beach locations, it’s hard to pick a hard and fast favourite. My top four picks are Playa Mujeres, Cancun, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. The way I sum up Los Cabos to clients is; very upscale, desert landscaping with beautiful lawns and gardens and fantastic service. Generally, you are going to pay the most per person here, but what you will experience the most elevated service, accommodations and overall luxury experience. Puerto Vallarta offers dramatic landscaping with rolling hills, lush tropical landscaping and fabulous sunsets. For fun, tourist activities, attractions and nightlife, the hotels closer to the downtown Puerto Vallarta Malacon area are ideal. Secrets Vallarta, Now Amber and Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta are a great starting point to combining activities, attractions and a well-rounded vacation wedding stay.

For Playa Mujeres, your overall costs are going to be close to Los Cabos. This is because the majority of new all-inclusive resorts are shiny, new and offer a very elevated service, food and accommodation standard, much like Los Cabos. Cancun is all about fun, frolicking in the spectacular beaches with drop-deal million-dollar oceanfront views and non-stop shopping, activities and clubs for a very well-rounded vacation experience.

3. Destination Wedding Costs
The overall cost is one of the very first questions my couples will ask me when consulting about their wedding plans. We understand it’s essential to make your Mexico destination wedding as affordable as possible for you and your beloved guests. What we like to suggest is to consider where most guests are originally departing. Pending that answer, we will make suggestions for couples seeking a Mexico destination wedding to an area that offers the lowest pricing for best budget options as well as the most affordable and time-saving flight options. Otherwise, if they have a specific location in mind, we like to work within their overall budget first, so we don’t exceed our couple’s overall cost per person vacation budget. There are so many amazing properties within all budgets in Mexico. Rest assured, we have tried and true four and 5-star properties that not only meet but often exceed our couple’s expectations.

4.Mexico Wedding package prices
First come the bride and groom. Next comes the flights and accommodations, and lastly, my couples want to know, “what will a destination wedding package cost us.” It’s a bit tricky to answer that in a few sentences. In general, the cost of your resort accommodation is generally going to reflect the price of the wedding packages offered on property. Most all-inclusive Mexico wedding resorts offer several wedding packages. They begin around USD 2,000.00 and can go right up to $6,000.00+. Most packages are in between these prices. The best part is most resorts offer a credit program. Essentially the more guests you book in, the more credits you receive to offset your travel costs. This free’s up couples wedding funds to cover the additional reception costs. Resorts usually include a ceremony and reception for up to a certain amount of guests, i.e. (thirty). Hair, Makeup, photography, videography are additional with most wedding packages. With the average at-home wedding cost around $30,000.00 and a destination wedding cost average around $12,000.00, you can easily add up why destination weddings are so popular. We also specialize in South-Asian weddings. You’ll want to work with a wedding expert as you can save tens-of-thousands with a large, elaborate Indian wedding celebration.

5. How to book a Destination Wedding
Lastly, couples are always wanting to know the best way to go about booking a destination wedding. Let’s go over the facts when it comes to planning and booking a destination wedding. “Do not try this at home.” These are my first words of wisdom to couples seeking affordable all-inclusive resort accommodations. You can book with online discounter travel suppliers, but why would you want to. It’s a ton of work dealing with the plethora of questions and changes your guests will normally have when booking in travel arrangments. Travel agents get the same rates as you would; however, resorts compensate them for bringing in the business. So win-win, right! However, you want a qualified destination wedding specialist in your corner. Check to see how long the agent/agency has been in business. Read online reviews, check the BBB, do your homework. Then relax, unwind and enjoy a seamless wedding process that is so much simpler than an at-home wedding affair.
